Fever

Harmful Influences

When the body’s natural rhythm is disturbed, fever can become more exhausting than healing.

  • Overexertion and lack of rest or recovery.

  • Suppressing emotions or not allowing the body to express illness naturally.

  • Exposure to artificial environments without fresh air or natural light.

  • Overuse of medications that suppress rather than support the body’s healing processes.

Fever Care Tips

Gentle care and trust in the body’s wisdom support a healthy fever response.

  • Rest and Warmth: Provide a calm, warm environment that allows the body to direct energy inward for healing.

  • Hydration: Offer warm herbal teas, broths, or water frequently to support detoxification.

  • Fresh Air: Keep the room well-ventilated but free from drafts.

  • Light Clothing: Use natural fibers (cotton, linen, wool) that allow the skin to breathe and regulate heat.

  • Observation: Monitor body temperature, mood, and breathing — fever is a sign of inner activity and transformation.

Treatment

Cold Wraps
Calf Wraps

Materials Needed

  • 2 linen or cotton cloths (size: enough to wrap around the calves)

  • 2 wool cloths (to cover the linen cloths)

  • ½ liter of water

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 bowl or container

  • Optional: a rubber sheet or similar fabric to protect the mattress

The linen cloths should be thin and soft, so they cling to the skin without wrinkles.
Do not use any waterproof or airtight materials on the legs.
Wool absorbs residual moisture well and allows air circulation while protecting bedding.

Indications & contradictions

This remedy is useful in cases of:

  • High fever (above 39°C / 102.2°F)

⚠️ Important:

  • Calf wraps should only be applied when the legs and feet are warm

  • Never apply them if the feet are cold or if the person has chills – even if the fever is high!

01 Mix the Solution

  • Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into ½ liter of water.

  • If the lemon has not been chemically treated, you can put the whole lemon into the water and even grate in some peel for added effect.

02 Soak and wring

  • Soak the linen cloth in the lemon water.

  • Wring it out gently—just enough so it’s not dripping but still moist.

03 Layers the Wraps

  • Spread the wool cloth flat, and place the damp linen cloth on top of it.

04 Apply to the calfs

  • Wrap each calf (from the ankle up to just below the knee) with the prepared cloths.

  • Make sure both cloths (linen + wool) are well-aligned and snugly wrapped.

  • The wool layer should completely cover the damp cloth, helping retain the effect without sealing off airflow.

Important Notes

  • The therapeutic effect occurs during the resting period after the bath.

  • If the bath is too hot or rest is not provided, the effect is diminished.

  • ONLY APPLY IF FEET ARE WARM

Duration

Bath Time: 20-30 minutes.
