Peel and finely chop the onion.
-
Spread the chopped onion in the center of an unfolded handkerchief (7 cm x 7 cm area).

Fold the handkerchief into a small packet.
-
Place the packet inside a freezer bag.

Lay the thin side of the cloth against a hot water bottle for a few minutes.

Remove the warmed onion packet from the freezer bag.

Place the packet on the ear and wrap it around the outer ear & behind the ear.

Secure it with a cap (or scarf, but a cap holds it better).
-
Keep it in place for 2 hours if possible.
